In Module 2 students continue with their research for design. They also explore papermaking amongst other techniques.

Jean has taken the theme of Walls for her research for design and in particular the stone walls of Sidmouth, and the Berlin wall.

Below: In contrast, the Sidmouth walls offer a different colour palette and shape inspiration. Jean is recording this visual information using a variety of techniques including drawing, painting and printmaking.

Above: Jean has begun to create some fabric samples informed by her research.

Above and left: more work to record the shapes and colours observed in the walls. Ideas are developed using computer image manipulation and lino printing.

Above and left: Maureen's research into the ocean is well under way. Here are some of her paintings and collages in response to her subject.
