lectures and workshops about my work and related subjects. I am happy
to travel to your group and provide a lecture, workshop or both! If you

'Making Handmade Books'
Learn to make four different books in a day! We will explore a variety
of bindings, papers and decorative techniques for making truly individual
and beautiful books. Students can incorporate existing designwork/embroidery
into the pages or covers.
Workshop normally runs from 10am-4pm. One day workshop £150. Maximum

'The Artist's Book'
Learn how to customise a shop bought sketchbook. Students will transform
an ordinary book with cutting, piercing, painting and stitch.

'Images on Fabric'
Have you ever wanted to incorporate images in your work? Students will
try a variety of image making techniques from simple motifs to photographic
reproductions. We will explore simple screen printing, photo transfer
and mono-printing amongst other methods.
Workshop normally runs from 10am-4pm.One day workshop £150. Maximum
of 15 students. There is an additional charge of £10 per person

'Embellished Quilting'
During this workshop students will explore techniques including bonded
applique, free machine quilting, seeding, beading and foiling to produce
a sample that could be completed as a small wallhanging or as part of
a larger piece.

'Free Appliqué - Fabric
Collage, Art as Inspiration'
Taking paintings as our inspiration we will use sheer, semi-sheer and
opaque fabrics to construct a fabric collage which can then be stitched
either by hand or machine. Ways to take the sample further will also be
discussed.

Student requirements 'Free Appliqué - Fabric
Collage, Landscape as Inspiration' Using the same technique as the previous workshop, this time we will
take our inspiration from nature. Landscape photographs will provide the
colour and design information we will develop into a piece of fabric collage.
Ways to take the sample further will be discussed.

Markal Magic
Students will explore using Markal (Shiva) Paintstiks on to paper and
cloth. A variety of methods of application will be covered including stencilling.
