Finished Quilt and More Drawing

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]It was a lovely feeling to finish the binding and finally get the quilt on the bed! There’s only one small drawback and that’s the timing – summer is coming and it’s way too warm for it right now. Never mind, I love the way it dresses the bed during the day.

With the warmer weather everything in the garden is bursting with life and we were pleased to see the scary plant we bought from a National Trust shop last year made it through the winter and is about to unfurl its amazing flower for a short moment of glory.

We’ve had a stressful week with family illness and long hospital visits but I’ve tried to find time for some drawing. The butterflies and flowers combine pen, watercolour and water-soluble pencils.

You might remember the old keys I found on the market not so long ago.

I chose three of my favourites and made a drawing on the iPad.

It’s surprising how a little time with your sketchbook or iPad can help with anxious moments. I hope you’ve made some time for yourself this week too. Thanks for visiting today.
