All of the information and advice held on this website is given in good faith and believed to be true. Health and safety guidelines have been included as seems appropriate but individuals must accept responsibility for their own actions and work in a safe way. Manufacturers' specific product information and guidelines for safe practice in their use should be heeded and given precedence over any generic information. No responsibility can be accepted for any accident or injury sustained during the courses offered by DesignMatters. A description of the course content is available on the 'Frequently Asked Questions' page, found by clicking the FAQ button part way down the 'Online Courses' page. All course content is the intellectual property of Linda Kemshall and is not to be shared or distributed in any form. One copy may be printed by the registered student for their personal use during the course. Assessment is held throughout the course and guidance given as needed to satisfy the syllabus requirements. There is an appeals procedure with City & Guilds in the event of any candidate disputing an assessment result. DesignMatters reserve the right to involve extra tutors and assessors as necessary to meet the demand for courses and to provide cover for periods of absence. Students may make a single payment for a complete course of 10 modules plus registration and certification, or may prefer to pay for a single module at a time with the first payment to include registration and certification with the awarding body, City & Guilds of London, England. They may also follow the first payment with a balance payment for the remaining 9 modules or continue to pay for each module as they complete the previous one. If at any time a student decides not to complete the course there is no committment to make payments for remaining modules. Details are available on the website on the 'Online Courses' page. In 7822-10 and 7922-03 the information and activities are offered as a progressive course, not as a set of independent modules and so progress to the next module is subject to satisfactory completion of the previous one. At Diploma level, students have access to all the modules for which payment has been received because the areas of study at this level interconnect making it less practical to see them in isolation. Any candidate may gain access to all modules that they have paid for even if the work has not been assessed as satisfactory but the certification process will not be completed. Access to the intellectual content on the 'Online Courses' pages is protected by unique username and password and is available only to officially enrolled and registered students of DesignMatters. All communication by email will be conducted in a courteous and polite manner. DesignMatters reserve the right to amend the information and requirements of the course as necessary in order to keep it current, valid and creative. Students will be required to acknowledge acceptance of 'Terms and Conditions' upon enrolment. Returning the enrolment form will be taken as evidence that they have read and understood the terms and conditions. Linda Kemshall
