Love Colour! Challenge Gallery
In connection with the sale of our Love Colour! packs in the DesignMatters Store we ran a challenge in May 2009. The rules were simple, using the contents of a Love Colour! pack entrants had to create a piece of work using any techniques and inspiration. The pack contains 2 fat quarters of hand dyed fabric, 2 skeins of hand dyed thread and 2 reels or coordinating rayon machine thread. Not knowing how you'd all respond we were thrilled with the uptake. It was such a treat to receive entries popping into our email Inbox and a joy to see how each of you had made use of the fabrics and threads. The task of selecting our favourite entry was near impossible with our top choice changing several times. We spent a long time carefully looking at each entry to whittle it down to the top few. Picking just one proved too much and so we have also awarded two runners-up prizes.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to enter. We thoroughly appreciate the effort put into all of these entries. From the feedback we've received we know that you thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and are asking for more.
