Hello Ruby in the Dust 59" x 72" £800
This was an attempt to work in a restrained colour palette, although on closer inspection it does involve some accents of quite strong colour. I often work with music playing loudly in the background and on this occasion a Neil Young lyric also became the title of this quilt. Exhibited in Olympia, London at the National Patchwork Championships, it won 1st place for Use of Colour and 1st place for Embellished Quilts. It later travelled to Zurich for the Swiss Quilt International Exhibition and to the Netherlands for the European Quilt Championships.
